Gonna be in Drayton monday morning until late monday night, three people and from shore. Just curious how the fish are biting and would bow fishing the carp right by the dam be legal? if the cats are slow shooting some carp would be an awesome time

If you take mud boots go downstream of the ramp to the yellow tarp stuck in a tree. Use as heave weight as you got and fish there. The current is rippin but good fish. And you can use 2 lines there. You can bowfish but not from the dam it is illegal to be within 150 feet of the dam

We did have a chat with the gamewarden and the sherriff while we were up there...they are letting people fish right up to the rocks, about the 75ft mark....this is only applying to shore and be sure to ask before you do....do NOT go up on the rocks or the cement, you CAN fish as close as you want on the top side of the dam, it is perfectly legal...which doesn't make a ton of sense....enjoy your day captain whiskers

well i think were gonna try that sweet spot we always catch fish in to start but if they're running slow maybe we'll try north of the landing. Deuce you're always welcome to come with!

Caught 30 or more, stopped counting. A lot of them were either eater size or 15 lbs or bigger. Biggest was a 36 incher! All in all, a fun day
