In my experience there is no need for anything but suckers for the time being. The goldeye spawn will be soon and that could move the cats to goldeye and frogs always work but I prefer them in late summer if I have to use them.

Has anyone ever used any stink bait(s)? Thats all I used to use when i first started, Catfish Charlie's 'Cheese Dip' to be exact. It wasnt uncommon for me to catch 15 cats in an hour of that stuff. But, they were all small, mostly 16-24" The largest was a 27" fatty my little brother caught on a light action rod.

I have been playing with it some this year. earlier got some nice 20-25 inchers with it. the last time I used it I only got 12-14" on it. I would rather stick to meat
