Has anyone tried the new king kat baitfeeder combos? Or what kind of reel are you using on your king kat if you have one?

The only King Kat I own is for demo purposes only.
You can never go wrong with an Abu Garcia 6500c3 or 7000

I have one king kat and borrowing another but I'm considering getting something else. What are your favorites? Also what's a decent cheaper reel that won't break the bank and won't take a dump on me?

Someguy and I have also had the same conversation. Always the 6500c3.....that is my next real, with an 8ft rod, preferably a one piece for me. Although those eagle claws felt nice.

I am in a different position than many so I can get to play with different stuff. I am slowly converting to custom rods and I will only use Abu Garcia reels (except BCX series). You simply can't go wrong with an Abu Garcia 6500c3
Here are a couple options I like
Rods- (That won't break the bank) 1. Eagle Claw Water Eagle (model # WE504-8') $16 at Catfish Connection. 2. American Spirit Night Sticks (model # ONG828AB) $27. I have never actually used these but know people who like them 3. Shimano Telora 8'-8.5' MH casting. $90 (Great Rods, have a nice hook set)
Reels- 1. Abu 6500 c3 (awesome reel I own like 25 of them) 2. Abu Garcia Alphamar 12 (great reel but $129 each)(I have 2) 3. Okuma CL200 or CLX200 (Great reel for under $40) (Personally I hate the Okuma company but these reels have held up good for me over the years. My last two died last week after 5 years of hard use and no maintenance.
