Me and a buddy went down to the south damn on the mn side. Ended up catching 7 from 7-9:45 using cut sucker. Biggest one was about 5-6 pounds.

Went to the north and south dam earlier today. VERY slow! Only a couple bites. Even the Goldeyes were slow...

Hit the river tonight. We were using cut sucker and goldeye. Both baits seemed to be working well, goldeye had a bit of an edge. We starting out fishing heavier current with an 8ft hole, we didn't catch one, only missed a few. We ended up drving to a different spot, it was a 300 yard flat at about 3 to 4 ft deep with some structure. We got 5 out of 2 different snags. both on the front end of them. They were in about 4 ft of water, fishing about 5 ft from the snag. In conclusion, they were surely hanging in the shallow water in an around snags. Also found an I phone in the mud, which my buddy lost about 2 months ago when the water was 6 feet higher!

I was out again last night. First started the night on a decent bend, with the deepest spot being only a bout 6 ft of water, no structure. The river got a bit thin and the current was allowed to flow a bit more here. We got one out of this spot. We moved/walked about 1/2 mile further down river and found a bend with VERY heavy current, lots of timber, with all different types of current and slack water. We got one around 30" out of here. We ended up moving more towards the city of Moorhead. Fished close to the main street dam, within 1 mile of the bottom side. We ended up with 3 or 4 more on a long flat, with some decent current. Much of the river seems to be slow, but there are some spots, even in shallow water that are holding some decent size fish. Tonight I will be heading to GF and try my luck up there , Captain Brad, get the cold ones ready!

Fish are shallow, slow current, structure. Tried about everything, this seems to be the best bet for right now.

Looks like the flood water has gone down and the fish are starting to hit the cut bait. Right now it's a soft bite, although it should get hot relatively fast now.

I went out again last night. Only had a few nibbles like they were playing with the bait. Could have been smaller ones, too.
I talked to the owner of Fargo Bait & Tackle last night for 10-15 minutes. He said that the report has been pretty slow. Very few cats being caught and they have been small.
I did start pitching a crank bait last night after the cat bite was slow and caught a 14" Sauger! WoooHooo!
